My dream
My idea is to be the sole import agent for micro radio controlled helicopters. The boys' toys and gadget area is a massive growing market and there is no one out there at the moment doing this. I am trying to be one of the first with sole importation rights and would also like to try designing and to eventually have my product range.
How the idea came about
I started my own business selling micro cars and a few sample helicopters were included in the consignment I received from China. I showed them to friends and they showed them to theirs and I got some positive reactions. I tested them on market stalls over Christmas and thought I need to look into this as soon as possible. I now want to get sole importation rights. I’ve been holding off from signing until I had a financial backer lined up.
Why I am on Tycoon
It was a tough decision to come onto Tycoon because normally I care for my elderly grandmother. However, I believe my product is a winner. The profit margin is high and the product isn’t out there at the moment, so there’s little competition. It’s a great impulse buy. Women will see it and buy it for their boyfriends and husbands and blokes will want to buy for themselves.
