My dream

An advertiser-funded newspaper for teenagers that’s free to its readers. It will take news stories from around the world including showbiz, news and sport. It will summarise stories in a way that will mean they are interesting to teenagers – unlike the full-blown articles you get in other newspapers.

How the idea came about

I’m a teenager myself and at the school I used to attend, there were no newspapers to read. I thought there was a gap in this market to be able to provide news for teenagers. I think it’s a great way for advertisers to advertise to teenagers and it’s a new avenue for them.

Why I am on Tycoon

I took a year off school for this opportunity, and if it takes off, I’ll never go back. I’m hoping that if I gain a bigger name from being on Tycoon, I might have more of an influence on schools to be doing something like this. I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur. When I was 11, I got a paper round. When I was 13, I started my own book company and that’s gone from strength to strength. Now I want to own newspapers.
